Sr. Pastor: Iron Kim

The Rev. Iron Kim is Sr. Pastor of Trinity. Iron is a native of Korea who grew up in and around New York City where his family immigrated to when he was six years old. He is a 1990 graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook (BA) and a 1994 graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary (M.Div.) in Philadelphia, PA. He also earned a M.Th. from New College, University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 1997. Iron brought 15 years of ministry experience with him to Trinity. He was a High School Youth Pastor and Director of Christian Education at Korean United Church in Philadelphia, Assistant Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC (www.redeemer.com), and Associate Pastor at City Church of San Francisco (www.citychurchsf.org). Iron likes to spend time with his family, learn obscure facts, and follow his beloved New York Yankees. He lives in Brea with his wife Grace and their daughter, Charlotte.


Pastor of Spiritual Formation: Darian Lockett

Dr. Darian Lockett serves as Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Trinity and is an Assistant Professor of New Testament at Biola University. Darian grew up in the Kansas City area where he graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 (BA in History) and Midwestern Seminary in 2001 (MDiv). In 2002 he and his family moved to St. Andrews, Scotland where they lived for three years while Darian completed his PhD in New Testament. He served as a missionary with YWAM for three years (1992-1995) in the US and in Eastern Europe doing evangelism and discipleship. While in Scotland Darian filled the pulpit for several small churches in the East Neuk of Fife (near St. Andrews). When he is not reading history or theology Darian likes to play the guitar, wrestle with his kids, and watch the Jayhawks play basketball. He lives in Brea with his wife Nicole and his three children: Madeleine, Evan, and Aidan.


Director of Children's Ministry: Susie Batstone

Susie Batstone serves as Director of Children's ministry. She graduated from Biola University with a degree in Intercultural Studies in 2008. She live in Long Beach and love the artistic community there. She has worked with children for about 9 years now, and loves to see each child come to a better understanding of Jesus’ love for them.
